Keeping in mind I'm a newby, have no AP or business experience, here's my take on it. I've read a whole lot of the threads in the commercial section of the forum and I don't think its right to say that just because you mention the word commercial your gunna get dumped on. If someone joined up and announced they are going commercial and had a business plan, years of experience in aquaculture, suitable land and buildings, capital, suppliers and buyers all lined up etc etc (or were at least working hard towards all of this) and asked for constructive criticism, I reckon they would be very welcome here, welcomed with open arms in fact. But if someone joins up, announces that they read all about aquaponics and watched some youtube video's last night and AP was going to save the world and they were going commercial and leading the AP revolution, then get all defensive and subjective when someone asks them a few simple questions, well they are gunna get dumped on and rightly so. Down the track, a chef friend of mine reckons he will buy some trout off me from time to time, if that ever happened and it paid a little percentage of my feed bill wow I would be over the moon but I would never describe that as commercial. If I get to grow my trout and veges out and have any left over I'll probably just give them away to friends. Oh well, so much for my business acumen.
