Well I am really gonna try the aquarium out now. Another fellow here with a small ibc system is moving so gave me his 15 juvenile silvers. I put the 10 smallest in the aquarium and the bigger ones in the garden pond. Put the air pump on and put in one stone and the airlift filter with new k1 media. Hoping the fish load is not too much for the new filters.

Glad your having another go Mantis. Maybe try a couple of sponge filters this time for your air supply, when I try again Ill be doing something similar.

Hi Bear,

Just a small mechanical/biological sponge filter for aquariums that is air driven. Sort of serves a double purpose, rather than having just an air stone in the aquarium you have the added benifit of finer filtering and BSA. Ok for small scale aquarium projects like this one but I wouldnt bother in AP as you would be constantly cleaning it.

Ok with you, thought you might have been talking about cleaning the air before it went in and could not work out why.

Ah yes, I can see why you read it like that. Nothing but clean fresh air in sunny queensland! ;)
