120 Gallon (450 Liter) fish indoor tank. 4ft x 4ft x 1ft (1.2m x 1.2m x 30cm) Not yet interested in eating fish, I just want something interesting and hardy. Considering guppies because they would breed and school and I could have about 100 of them, very cool. Also I have considered goldfish in the past too but they get very large and I don't want the to be unhappy with the size of their environment. It takes a goldfish about 2 years to get to full maturity which is a long time. I think that I could buy a few dozen guppies and breed a full population in a shorter amount of time. Do you guys have any thoughts or suggestions for me? Thanks!

I had 3 goldfish in a 200l aquarium, They started small and eventually grew and used to trash the tank. They are also large producers of (how can I put this politely) crap, so it was a lot of work. They are in the pond now and 2 of them are still alive.
Had guppies many years ago but can't remember much about them, pretty but blank. :)

Yeah I bet they grew out of that first tank pretty quickly! How big is the pond? How big are the fish now? Were they common, comet, or fancy?
