Thanks. Almost worth chilling a tank for a few months.

Yeah, we do have JP for sale here in Malaysia, but i am thinking of getting fishes that will reproduce and repeat their life cycle.

Did not manage to get any info on whether they will breed in tanks. With so many experience gurus here i was hoping to get some info if anyone succeeded in doing so.

Regards

Except... you're not allowed to have trout in QLD.... without Fisheries translocation approval... and the appropriate permits... which can be difficult and expensive.

I would recommend contacting QLD Fisheries in relation to licensing requirements for Trout in QLD

And then... you would definitely have to chill your tanks... possibly for two months.. depending where you are... and what the season throughs up...

Yabbies will... if the Sleepy Cod don't eat them...

Sleepy Cod might.... but I don't think anyones grown them out to breeding age.... before entering into the retirement village....

In general... and the same applies to Jade Perch.... most Australian fish wont breed in tanks...

They will spawn in tanks... with hormone injection...

cause they won't breed in fish tanks, they don't like people spying on them while they have sex. :laughing5: :love8:
