gday Simo,
I got 10 feeder fish for $12 in gosnells. Place called Aquariums and ponds along albany hwy.
The young bloke said they are happy to take them back and u get credit if you dont want to feed them to your Barras. He was very excited about the thought of letting the Barras get them. Reckons its amazing to watch. I dont think I could do that to something that got my system cycled!!

How much of a brook do you have at bullsbrook? I would go down to our local brook/ponds and catch a bucket full of small fish. the trout loved them.

I am not far from the Avon river but I am pretty sure that the minnows are all introduced Gambusia which I don't want in my tank.

Some friends have them in thier pond and wanted to get rid of them so they caught all the gold fish and drained the pond letting the gambusia die and the pond dry out for a few days. A few weeks after filling the pond had gabusia again! Apparently the eggs can survive quite a long time out of water. My fish are small SP and probably would not eat them, I just want goldies to boost nutrient production.
