Hi Rupe,
My trout are about about 200 to 250mm long now, not really much of a feed yet. Should I go up to the bigger pellets yet. How much longer do you think we will get grow them out over here, Mid November or into Dec.
How much are they likely to grow in the next month?
Still have 48 in 1100 litres.

rwtd, mine are that size and feeding well on 5mm. I'm not sure what you're using so can't say whether you need to increase pellet size.

So I spose they like it.

Darrell,
If you have trout @ 250mm, I would defiantly start "tasting" a couple of the biggies.
For a bit of fun, try a sultana on a barbless hook to catch them.
The weather can potentially warm up quickly in the next month. You don't want to have to harvest all you fish at once.
(BTW, nice video on your web site)

Hi Scott,
Thanks, the video was fun to make, must do some more as it gets allot of comments from clients.
I am tempted to try one but they just look too small, spose cause I am used to eating salt water fish I catch which are much bigger than the trout in the tank.

Hi Darrel, probably time to move them onto the larger pellet... as they vary somewhat in size,, try mixing the 4mm & 6mm pellets....

That's what I'm currently feeding... a 50:50 mix

Who knows exxactly what the next 4-8 weeks will dish up weather wise... but historically we should be able to get them through until at least end of November... Xmas...
