I love rabbits!!! but ours are strictly pets......

Everytime i mention rabbit stew the kids yell at me :P

I have some freinds who bread rabbits for years but had such a hard time with the caleasy virus killing them off.....

they have gone into lambs now.

If you want to upload masses of photos, Use somthing like Photobucket or Flickr to upload them too then just use the [IMG] Tags to place them in posts.

We also keep rabbits, the breeding adults all have names, the babes are for the pot...
We converted our stables into the 'Flop(sies) House', completely enclosing it in fly wire after loosing our first group to myxomatosis.

Hi guys thanks for the fantastic input. Stables sound like a great idea only having kept rabbits for sometime its been my expierence that keeping them on straw or anywhere that they can come into contact with thier own manure can cause coccidiousious, spots on the liver which is not so good if you want to eat them. Faye I will put some more photos up when I get home from my trip down south to visit my mum and i hope to pop in and say gday to Rupert on the way home.

Spent the last hour watching this guys video's..... He's as mad a hell, and not taking it anymore :P

Very Good clips on the rabbits, I want to get into rabbits but the missus is still too Nieve to get the fact that the differnce between the chicken or what ever meat we prepare from the supermarket and say a rabbit we grow at home..... is that its much healthier, much more efficent and much more humaine to grow at home rather than from a butcher/supermarket.

she wouldnt eat the fish at the start...... try stop her now eh!!! i will succeed with my rabbits!!!!

Ferreting goes in and out of fashion down here, seems like a sustainable solution if you have cooperative land-owners near-by.

Don't reckon there would be much meat on a ferret?
