Crusty,
Normal 1st step is suss out a fish tank and type of fish to start with:
36,000 litre tank plus 2 tonne of crayfish is normally sufficient for a small starter system. :rr:

Couldn't help myself - not sure of how you have your setup but can you feed part of that water into a growbed, this is a simple way to get started.

My original aim was to start small and so bought a couple of 100l plastic bins to use as growbeds - also cuts down on gravel required on 1st attempt.

Draw up a diagram and slowly put the pieces in place and as you come to each stage, throw up your ideas and we can all make pertinent comments
