6 may be getting too low. I would put some shell grit in to buffer the pH.

Shell grit is a self regulating buffer... it will begin dissolving/buffering at around 6.8.... and cease around 7.2-7.4...

Have three bags that I made out of old nylon stockings, filled with oyster shell grit to buffer my water. Just pick any place under the water inflow into the growbed where the water can flow over the bags of shellgrit. Let the system do the rest.
