Hi all, this is my firs year for AP, and trying to learn from all you old timers out there.

I now have BSF going bonkers, need to figure out how to make the bin self harvesting, have got some velcro on order for that but still have to come up with a working design.

Cheers! :thumbleft:

Ya, they have gone bonkers. Today I had about 4 BSF buzzing around the bin so production is great.

What I am finding is the fish do not eat all the BSF, and they are ending up in my grow beds, so... they are turning into adults there.

Just need to get the self harvesting bit down.

Update,

Had to move the growbeds down to waist high, much better setup with IBC buried in the ground.

Much safer than before, with easier access to the growbeds, I am still a bit sore from moving all the gravel .....

Trying to learn how to propagate plants. All new to me.

Lots of good gardening forums around.... I wont recomend any in Aus as you need the ones in your climate/area.
Thats the best place to learn how to grow plants and look after them.

Note to myself have to only use DuIQcuOZ0gw inside the youtube quotes wooo hoo. it works.

Hi theremart, nice system mate. You may want to have some support round the outside of the GB though.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. yes, I did consider that but the way I cut the IBC down the middle does not allow me to use the cages as normal. This is a test to see how long they will work this way, when they fail I will switch to pond liner.

Hmmm As I think about this I could use the empty IBC cage I have with a pond liner for another grow bed. I understand that this may break down with the excess stress on the structure, but has lasted 8 months so far so good.

Mart
