So, are you convinced of moving away from conventional hydroponics now, into aquaponics? Do you still have those tommies hooked up with conventional hydro?

Nice one Jim... What do the foam boxes do exactly? Does the water flow out of the grow beds through them before returning to the fish tank?

I'm quick some days Les.... but not always....

Hi Joel Yes the tomatoes are still in nft hydro system but i think it will change.i have been told the tomatoes wont taste as good but i have 4 cuttings in the aquaponics system so i will make up my own mind.

You were told they wouldn't taste as good? That must have been from a hydroponics person who has never grown aquaponics tommies...

These boxes came from the fish breeder with the tanks.they have 50mm thick filter foam and covered in fine nylon mesh[curtain material.]
The water is pumped through the grow beds and returns into the foam boxes and into the tank.check out the fish and see how clean the water is.
