Could people please indicate upto what size/sizes their FTs are. If you have one system with multiple fish tanks run by the one pump could you add them together for this poll.

Ie if you have a single barrel ponics system you would choose the first option "<500L". If you have a single IBC FT you would choose the 1000L option. If you had two IBC FTs you would chose the "2000L" option. If you had a 3000L tank or three IBC FTs in the one system you would choose the "4000L" option.

I've started this thread to get an idea of how big people's systems are, specifically their fish tanks because that is often what determines their pumping requirements.

"It's under the 4000L option"

So 2900l would be rounded down? :)

Think you need to rethink the survey Stuart; the data gathered will be virtually useless for the purpose you intended. :)

I voted. Looking at the progression of your tank sizes, Stuart, I can't see any logical reason for 3000L to not get to the starting line.

@PLG Exactly! Why skip 3000L, 7000L, and 9000L?? Makes no sense...

Partly because:

:funny1: I had to skip something because you are only allowed 10 options;
:funny1: the different levels include single tank and tank combinations I'm interested in; and
:funny1: they suit a wide range of commercially available pumps.

I'd much rather have the raw data in an accessible form but to do that every one would have to post their tank sizes and then I have to enter it into a spread sheet. The poll is a quick and dirty way of getting the information I need.

I am using an IBC as FT which is about 850L full with 2 GBs on top about 500L volume. One pump 1000L per hour feeds the GBs.
