Hi Guys,

As with most here, got the AP bug and decided to just go for it.
Went and visited the fine people at BYAP, had a good look around.
After reading everything and trying to decide between buying BYAP system, or going for the “refurbished” look.
Got the word from the better half saying “if it’s in my backyard it better not look like *&%$”. Which I took as “Go buy the new stuff”.
So back to BYAP to buy a 4 growbed system.
Nothing like a 1000km Trip in a day to spend some money.
Got the gear back home, unfortunately work got in the way of building the system during the week.
Unloaded all the gear and started the assembly.

Hopefully get you some pics soon

Dan

Nice one, thats a fair effort your putting in there Dan... Is that screening to stop the notorious Gero winds are they?

Seems like Geralton might be the second biggest rural aquaponics centre after Narrogin, there are a fair few people up that way with systems now.

It does stop alot of the wind, but it was more to partition off the ap setup as we have a 2yo.

Here's my first go at Google Sketchup. To see the design a bit more clearer.

I went for a 3000l tank and a 2000l tank with 4 grow beds.
thought I might you the 2000l for fingerings, and hopefully go with Barra's

Fortunately we have a pretty good supplier of Silver Perch, so it was alot easier to go with them.

Nice one........ :)

With 5000L of water you'll have a nice stable system there.

Who is the SP supplier up there? I think I spoke to her a few months ago. Do they have their place open on weekends for people to go fishing?

When I spoke with her she had fingerlings and some fairly advanced fish available as well.

Chapman Valley Fishfarm.

I don't think they have any Fingerlings left. But you can get advanced fish at $18/kg i think.
They do open on weekends for fishing
