I only have a small system for now, until I get my new house built, I have a 100litre FT and another 50litre sump and about 50Lof GBs total I want to put pump in the sump feed the grow beds then they drain into the FT which then over flows into the sump. the GB is about a metre above the FT and sump the FT and sump are at the same level, the reason I am doing this( method behind the madness) is the sump I am planning as a / RT and maybe a couple of yabbies the FT is Koi which I am using purely for what they produce and when I expand to the bigger system they can go in my future ornamental pond. I also want to get the pump out of the FT to give the Koi more room as it is small and the pump is a 3300 lph DW pump. What are the pro's and cons I feel it is alright but I'm wondering if there is something I can't see that can be a major con in this scenario. I am aware of the water quality levels will be a bit more extreme being so small but at the moment it is all I can do to relieve this addiction.lol I will cope.hahaha I will get some photo's up as soon as I figure it out. my camera likes makin them big and I am having trouble working out how to reduce the size.

Just can't wait to get my hooks on a bigger system , real estate market is bad at the moment, I have a block of land already and plans for a nice system, this'll have to do, mind you it was smaller last week, I keep growing it week by week.

Awwww - isn't she dainty!

Definitely wins award for 'cutest Ellenbrook system'!

I like the NFTs! You've spent some time on piping there. Crafty use of space!

Strawberries? What's your pH at?

ph is a little high but expected it is only about 3-4 weeks old has only one koi in it, had 3, 2 jumped out, 1 did it when I just got them, had trouble adjusting to new surroundings, the other jumped last night coz I just took em out of the black tank and put em in the blue one, fish used to be in a 20litre bucket then they got put in the black tub, just bought the blue barrel yesterday, I'm wondering what next, lol, hopefully start harvesting plants, the coriander has doubled in size the last week and there is stacks of new growth on the strawberries and tomatoes, seed raising in the raft at the moment.
