I found detailed plans for building a barrel system yesterday, but can not find it today. Can anyone direct me to it?

Thanks

You are probably looking for the barrel ponics manual. I think you might be able to find it in the downloads section of the forum. It is a good way to start learning if you don't already have ideas of how you want to build your system. Nice functional starter system.

I'll see if I can find a link to it for you

I did build one of those and I estimate that a person buying all the parts new and getting the barrels for $15 each and buying bagged gravel, could still probably build this for under $300 (US prices.) If you can get barrels free and already have some of the parts and pipe lying around and get the gravel in bulk, you can probably manage on less than that.

Thanks. You are awesome! that is exactly what I needed. I do missionary work in Mexico and am trying to build a very inexpensive prototype that can be reproduced at little cost down there. I know very little, but am trying to learn fast and be ready to build one in Mexico next month.

Thanks again

As you learn more, you can probably come up with some even simpler cheaper ways to build systems but the barrel ponics manual is a good place to start learning when you don't have much time.
