My latest system consists of one 1500 litre FT, two 200 litre kidney shaped (very groovy) GB's and a 240 litre sump.
The FT has a timer controlled pump to feed the GB's while the sump has a float switch controlling the pump back to the FT.
I have started with 12 goldies and will replace them with 100 SP's when the system is cycling correctly (nearly ready Monya).
As you can see I have planted a variety of vegie seedlings and a few experimental seeds.
Many thanks to EB and all Forum members for your ideas and information, with particular thanks to the Adelaide BYAP team including Monya, King Eric and Steem.
Stay tuned for the monster vegie pictures :D

Good to see you're up and going Peter, looks good too.
How do you think you'll go with 100 fish? I'm sure the tank is big enough but do you think you have enough grow beds? Is there room for expasion? I've got the same size tank and I often wonder how far I can push the stocking density, my gravel volume isn't big but I've got the extra NFT. ?

did you cut the lid off the tank and reattach with hinges yourself? cool idea if so. very functionable.

Quite amazing Peter, especially the pipework, though as KE suggested, I think 100 fish might be pushing the system..

Very artistic, well done... :)

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions guys.
Gnash,..... the ponds were bought secondhand at $50 each....a bargain but they only had the two!
KE & EB,....Monya said much the same re stocking density when he saw my setup, so I do plan to expand.
The bath in the background of pic one has to move soon and will become my third GB.

Re the fish tank...it is a standard water tank by EGR bought from Bunnings for around $600. I cut and hinged the lid and added appropriate outlets.

Very neat and professional looking. :thumbright:
What's the pipe at the front of the sump (near the lock) in image 2220 for?
