hello everyone i have more question, since i am working on setting up a new system here in panama, and i want to know what is the ideal height of water for tilapias, or the least height??

I'd say 2 feet/60 cm minimum. Tilapia are about 3/4 of their length in height (that is to say if they are 12 inches long, they'll be about 8 inches high.) You could probably keep them in a foot of water, but I don't think they'd be happy. My fish retreat to deeper waters when they're scared. Without that haven, they'll be stressed and less healthy, I think.
