My system consists of the following:

1 X 3,500+ltr pond (rubber lining)
3 X 600 ltr growbeds filled with hyroponic clay
1 X 600 ltr growbed to be added
All to be housed in a green house to be built

A pump in the pond pumps to the grow beds 15min/hr 24/7
GB's gravity feed back to pond
Initial planting 20th April '08
Cycling with 100 silver perch & 20 goldfish

Nice and tidy one point that power point must be at least a meter above the water or 500 mm to the side this is for insurance purpose

Please tell me you have that power point on a safety switch? often called an earth leakage or core-balance breaker.

So ... it's reasonable to assume you're not a member of the start-small-&-gradually-expand AP school then!? :D

Nice!

hodgeshome,,Nice system.
I'll sleep better tonight knowing that power outlet is on a safety switch, hope initial email didn't sound gruff or the likes,,I was just concerned.
Speaking of which I must test my safety switch and fire alarms ,,

Blinking neat system,,,

rcd , is more commonly used in electriciansterms,,I guess core balance is also. Corebalance is about how the thing works,,itmeasures current .in and current out ,any balance difference ( usually 30ma) causes trip. Earth leakage breakeris another commonly used name and also refers to the function,,,ie,if,current in is less than current outthere must be a leakage toooo earth.
Safety switch is probably the best description so everyone knows what itdoes.

WOW, are you trying to win a prize for the best looking system?
Was the pond already there (and you've converted it to AP) or did you build from scratch?

Wow, very nice Hodges.... soo nice to see good practical growbeds and AP gear available to people to start their systems....

And to see that people have obviously spent the time researching and finding out about AP.

Darn nice mate... take it you have a test kit and have read up on the cycling process etc

Very classy Hodges, did you know there is a photo competition? Could be worthy of a prize you know? Welcome to Aquaponic anonymous.
