2014 was the last post. been a while.

well since my last post there have been quite a lot of changes. My largest change is that 9 months ago i have moved from my 750 Sqm block in the burbs of Melbourne and move to a 5 acre property in the hills of Melbourne.
since it has been quite busy over the past year moving and settling in i am now thinking of an aquaponics system.
CHIFT - PIFT from experience is the way to go.
my property is situated on a bit of a hill and has a fall of about 1 foot in every 4 meters and am planning of taking advantage of this.
sump at the bottom, tank at the top and GB in the middle.
Trout is the fish of choice as its a little cooler being 600m higher. Also there are quite a few trout farms in the area.

in regards to materials, i have managed to source some 2nd hand tanks but the catch is that I have to take all 6. I am only allowed to get 2 (Wife's orders )
1 out of the 4 remaining is damaged. has a split which is about 300mm down the side. I have been lead to believe it can be repaired.
Is there anyone around after an awesome Aquaculture / Aquaponics tank?
Ill place this on the for sale section later on tonight.

each tank has the following
1900mm wide
750 deep
2100 liters
stainless steel stand.
fitting all ready in tanks.

tanks are $ 350.00 each (damaged 1 is free)

obviously the location is Melbourne.
Could even organize delivery at the cost of Fuel. (Melbourne only)

A friend took the other 4.
Now it's time to think about the location.
