im curious if this new setup looks halfway balanced... i guess fish to plants

also i dont know what a cycled systeme means but i havent lost a fish yet and im really surprised!

im brand new any critical advice is welcome

Cycling refers to the process of developing a beneficial bacteria colony in your gravel grow beds or bio-filter to the point where it's able to safely sustain fish.

To cycle a system you need to add an Ammonia source to the water until it reaches a level of about 1.0ppm - 2.0ppm, then wait for the Amm to drop to 0.0ppm and the corresponding Nitrite spike that will happen, to also drop to 0.0ppm... At that point your system is considered cycled.

It can take as little as two weeks in ideal conditions, ie: warm, well oxygenated water with a slightly alkaline pH, or as long as 2 or 3 months in cold climates etc.
