This is my AP larger size build. This intro will be long sorry. The reason I'm doing this build is to document everything. I have been writing it in a journal but I get it wet so I figure it's better for me to just put my info here. This is my first house and as soon as I bought it I started renovating it.alomg with that I dung a really big hole in the back yard. (My sump tank) I have a small amount of experience with a small AP system I had at my parents house growing Basil. This larger scale thing is something totally different. I used lava rock from my yard that was already there when I bought the house. I put them in the smaller ibc tanks that I made into two flood and drain bed. I have been making minor adjustments here and there. Everything is going good besides the moskitos in my sump tank

This is the feed to the fish tank to help aerate the fish tank but it moved the food to one corner to much so I just turned it down into the tank

I bought expanded clay for the tops of the beds just because it's so much easier to plant the plants

And I caped the sump tank off on top so hopefully that will stop the mosquitos.

Looks like a great start!

With the mozzies in the sump tank, drop a few goldfish in there, they'll gobble them up in no time.

I Also am building V-towers and im looking at media for them but I cant find a good deal on it. I was looking at matala filters but its like 60 bucks for a 48"X39" on amazon that would do only one 5 foot tower. I wasn't sure if there was anyone else using something else more cost affective.
