Greenhouse sides from temporary fencing bolted and concreted down.

5 GB's total about 18mtes X 800mm all on bell syphons, F&D also on a timer, 45mins on 15mins off, just in case the syphons don't cut off.
5,000-6,000lte FT dug in 900mm concrete reo fitted over top then covered with a tarp.

Is the big bed one long bed? Or broken into a couple?

All is not what it seems, killed all the fish with ich so running on wormtea, seasol, and a hessian bag filled with chook manure in the FT.. PLUS: call it "the house of aphids" over summer.

the long GB in the last pic Colum is actually 2, the old fence palings are fixed over it all so it looks like one. I have 3 GB's nearly 4mtes each along the outside walls and 2 at 2.7mtes in the middle back to back...

Nice setup! Do all GBs drain directly back to the FT?

Is that a colorbond or poly water tank?

hi sammo, yeah they all drain around the wall and back into the FT.
it's an old poly tank, (cut the top off it.). tank doesn't move, nice and solid, I drove in some steel droppers beside it so I can put some seating around the FT one day.

Yeah I reckon that's the way to go mudeye. I'm looking at a 4000-ish litre low profile tank. It wouldn't be difficult to weld up a hinged lid and clad it in timber. Just trying to convince the missus it will look OK from the driveway!

How do you remove solids from the bottom of the FT?

the one and only thing I wish I had done differently was to buy a tapered bottom FT, a lot dearer for sure, especially when I had this one sitting around doing nothing, but removing waste from the bottom of this thing is a pain, nearly a daily chore.. I have a plan to fix that with a lot of multiple 12mm pipe crisscrossing the base of the FT with slots in it which will suck up the waste and pump it directly into the system through the main pump but haven't quite worked out how i'm going to do it....need some more thinking on it

thanks Charlie, and need more growing area.!
trying to supply enough for 8 adults and 6 grandchildren from all of this is a full time job. the best part of it is definitely showing and teaching the grandkids how it all works without any interference..
we will get rid of Monsanto one day.!! lmao.
