Backyard Aquaponics
A place to discuss aquaponics

I'm just getting into the idea of Aquaponics. I have experience building an ornamental pond with plants and fish and I also have experience with hydroponics.

Concept, with a limited budget for additional items and the things I will list and picture; what sort of crazy ideas will people come up with.

Item I have that are perhaps not shown in the picture;
Small pond pump (the one in the system pictured)
3 little solar powered bubblers (I made them, If I could find more of those little air pumps I would make more as I have some extra solar panels)
Plumbing and irrigation fittings.

no need to put them as an image, either straight copy and paste of the URL or you can use the "insert URL" function in the Preview area - this is the 4th button across on the 2nd last line of buttons

Put your cursor over it and you get this hint:

Press the button and you then get:
A lovely picture

what is that in the third photo? looks to be a large fountain. is it concrete or a resin product? would make an interesting growbed perhaps...

that third photo is a set of plastic pool steps. It is light enough that I can drag it around the yard when empty if need be but sturdy enough to hold a fair amount of weight (like wet dirt)

I'm not quite sure what happened with the images. I was trying to post the images directly in the post rater than just links. Oh well.

Anyway, I got tons more reading to do before actually putting any AP system into operation but the gears are already turning on designs of systems.
