I have a 250 Gallon FT IBC tote and on top about 130 Gallon GB id like to add a swirl filter after seeing how much these dirty Tilapia have made just in my 55 as fingerlings. I saw a video on someones swirl filter where they they used the outlet on the bottom id like to to do that to get more solids maybe in a 16 gallon drum or a trash can. The problem is i only have 1 850 Gallon pump (went overboard) and i'm wondering if i could just use that and not buy another pump. Is it possible for me to just put it in the top of the swirl filter? Or would i have to make a sump. Sorry for so many questions on here.

Video i saw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yo060kzBh6k

I'll let one of the swirl filter fans field that portion, but have you considered that you may not need additional filtration but are way overstocked for an IBC?

I'm using tilapia and I'm new it's kinda like a safe guard in case I over feed or such plus the tilapia are dirty fish.

If you have the space why don't you add another GB or three plus reduce the number of fish a bit.

Add more GB's, reduce fish, or both. I have around 40 and have almost 45 sq ft GB, plus 25 sq ft of dwc. I'm stuffed with plants and an still having problems with nitrates drifting too high.

In that case just use a RFF to reduce the load or reduce the number of fish.
