Finally have a system together. Thanks to Joel for the tank, and Slowboat with assisting with the move, patchwork and many other odds and ends. Little bit of fibreglass has brought new life into the tank. Plan to introduce mamy more growbeds as I have the time. Also have another of the smaller green tanks to set up after a patch job. Intention here is to be able to run fish at different sizes. Currently have 6-8 female yabbies with one male in the smaller tank. So far the system just has 2 koi, a few goldfish and some yabbies as it cycles. Currently salted to 3-3.5 parts (store bought fish with ich). This is the only photo I have at the moment..

Quick update. BYAP growbed running. Another 3 to set up over the next week or so. Fish and yabbies are fine. Will look at getting some silver perch in a week or two. Female yabbies are currently in the green tank, they will be moved back to the small finreglass tank once I get the silvers (and I set the tank back up)

Another update photo. Only one of the two tanks on the left are running. Other one needs a small patch job halfway up. Fish and yabbies are happy. Another growbed and silver perch should be added next weekend. Still struggling with high ph 7.7-8, resisting the urge to add phosphoric acid.

After next weekend all efforts will be to build a support structure for the large fibreglass tank in the background. Not really keen to dig a hole!!!!

After harvesting with Slowboat the system is now home to 12 silver perch. Varying in size from 80-150 grams id say. Introduced sunday night and were still off the food thismorning.

Just a few update photos. Have been too busy to get the next two beds connected, hopefully in the coming week.

Oh dear....... See what happens when you start?

How did the tank go Matt, did you do anything to strengthen it up where it had rusted on the side?

Few licks of ranex (phosphoric acid) then two layers of fibreglass and thats it, less tha an hours work not including drying times. I have overfilled by mistake and the whole thing held together no problems. Solid as new :)

No photos today. But to update have added another growbed 3-4 weeks ago. Picked up 30 trout a few months back, feeding great and really stacking on size. Plants all growing well, harvested some seriously hot chillies that have been popular at work. Im currently working on solids filtration using another of the fibreglass tanks you can see on the left, unfortunatly its leaking and am just trying to find the time to seal. I will try and weigh a few trout this weekend to get an average size.
