We started this pond project for our ducks and while I was looking up different DIY filters I found aquaponics! So I told my girlfriend about It and we decided to do it.

what are you putting in the blue barrel?

is the white bucket a RFF?

That pond is exactly the sort of thing a friend was looking for. Does it go by a particular name or description so I can try and find one here?

The blue barrel is going to have a raft setup for DWC and the 5 gallon bucket is just a simple filter to catch large debris. I'm new to this so I'm not sure what RFF is???

I'm not sure on the name of the pond...we found it on craigslist. It was never used but was sitting behind a shed for a few years. We got it for $30 which is awesome because it's probably close to 180 gallons. The guy that sold it told us he thought it was 50-60 gallons.
