Ouch! That's more of a disaster than mine. Think positive though, the survivors will be that much harder to kill because they appreciate life now.

I'm taking that to the extreme. The barra I am going to pick up on the weekend are only 20-30mm.

i'd have thought that to have that density (which was close to mine, but i was only 30 mis away) you'd need O2 injection

Sorry to hear about the losses Jim - you gonna pick them up yourself????

I bought a "cheap as" battery air pump ($10) when I got my 1st lot of SP, I picked them up and shoved the air stone in the bag - no losses, was thinking of clove oil as an alternative which was brought up on TT's thread.

container did have air stones and a VERY beefy pump, i just dont thik there was enough water and maybe the ammonia / nitrite built up very high.

its only one fish per 0.8L or so...................

Use the air and clove oil together Les. Higher DO gets the clove oil into their system quicker, they are not mutually exclusive.

With volumes of larger fish it might even be worth pumping thru a tub of bio and draining back into the barrel just for extra insurance. What do people think?
