And on this occasion i'v got a few question:
1. What exactly kind of vegetables may I grow? What about potate, for example? What about that kind of vegetables, that I can not transplant like carrot or parsley? May I just put seeds of them to the exp. clay?
2. What about displacement of medium by water? Is it ok, that my expanded clay is float about 5cm to the top every cycle? I mean, if it does not harm my plants?

That's a nice system you have. Beautiful yard. What kind of temperatures do you typically see in the winter? Wish I could answer some of your questions but I'm not very informed at this point. Good Luck.

Welcome, you can grow leafy greens, tomatoes, peppers, cauliflower, beans and peas etc.

potato and root crops are not so good.

the water level should not go above 40 - 50mm below top of media. in this case the media should not float.

Hello again!

DirtyNate

During the winter we have temperature below 0 C deg, so I will shut down this system for a few moths and built another one inside my home.

Slowboat

I actually know the answers for most of my questions, and for the rest i will have for about 2 months, when I will get some results from my system.

Why roots veg. are not so good? Did you try to grow them? Are they rotting or what?

And about that floating media i'v just fixed it by mixing a top 10cm of Expanded clay (my first media) with some heavy rocks bought in some warehouse with things like that. I realized, that this is not possible to conitue the system like that. It was technically impossible in my case.

Thanks guys for your rep.
