Hey AP-ers,

So, as most of you will understand, my brain is churning over a new AP design for my back patio. I wanted something pretty productive (aka big) that wouldn't use up too much space so these are my thoughts and I am totally open to feedback...It is based on the assumption that I can link my FTs and GBs together - if I can't it is back to the drawing board.

Its a T setup - Growbeds along the edge of the patio then a table (over the ft's) connecting with the middle GB. I am planning on leaving enough space between the FT and the GB to allow for access to plumbing etc so the table will be about 3 m long.

2 x IBCs for fish (1 for fish and 1 for marron or prawns) joined together. Insulate and then frame so that I can build a table around and over it (with glass panels in the top so we can watch the fishies swim around - and feed them - and catch them etc.

3 x 500L Grow beds set up side by side - all connected - I am hoping to get away with one solid lift overflow from the FT into the middle GB and then have the water distribute to each of the GB's until they flood. Then have a sump set up under the GB's (narrow but long) with each GB draining into the sump which will then pump back to the FT.

I am also considering growing dwarf fruit trees in half blue barrels behind the grow beds - draining into the sump is easy and was considering running a second SLO into say 8 half blue barrels - with the barrels all linked together so I can have one pipe coming out to water the 8 halves.

Any thoughts/suggestions etc?? I might be able to draw a pic :)

Thanks gang!!

A pic would certainly help. I am sure we can find a way to make it all work.
