So as an Aquaponics virgin, I set out to create a dual IBC system with a grow medium of compressed clay and the fish, Silver and Jade Perch. No water was added from an existing system, ALL STARTED from scratch.

There are clearly too many fingerlings introduced too early as I have currently 96 split between 2 joined IBCs, BUT, I have natural water hole here in the camp ground and intend releasing A LOT Of NATIVE SILVER PERCH for the kids to catch and release!

Anyway!!!! every single plant is thriving in this unique little system, in fact I ate the first ripe strawberry today!. It has been an amazing adventure setting up and maintaining for 5 weeks.
