Happy new year to you all.

I harvested about 20 kilo sized fish yesterday and then moved all my smaller fish (about 50) into an old 3000l tank that had been sitting out for a year or so. Killed the lot of them in about 20 minutes. I figure there was a buildup of toxins from Eucalyptus leaved in there and I had been too lazy to rinse thee tank out first.
So now I am fishless and need to go get me some more. Can anyone tell me who has Silvers right now, I know it is not the best time of the year to move them, but I need to get 100 or so.
Thanks

What was the pH in the tank you moved the smaller ones into??

Carey at Giggi would be the closest supplier of fish to you.

You were right, gum leaves plus rain water equals low PH. By the time I had tested it the sea shells had brought it up somewhat, Carey is a great believer in limestone as a buffer so I cam home with 100 new fingerlings and a bucket full of limestone.

I think that is because of the way he grows the SP. For Aquaponics, it is a bit different. Be careful not to mess around with your pH too much as SP don't like pH swing.
