Thought I would make start a new thread of my very own lol.

Moved into a new rental house back in march and decided to start a new system so I could move all my fish etc from the old one where my parents are now living.

Is a basic "A" frame setup as you can see, the reason I chose this was because of its structural strength (can suspend 2-4 or more fat bastards from the main beam) and even though the timber was free I didnt want to waste any. The whole thing has cost less than $150 SO FAR.

Its a 3.6m2 base and using ya maths you can work out its height lol.

Basically the first part I will get going is going to be similar to J7"s pergola setup but I will be using the top pipe as a biofilter filled with gravel and open weave plastic potscrubbers and then it gravity feed through 3-4 more pipes(when installed) back into the fish tank.

Theres room for 2 bath tubs and a few of those black rectangular tubs, all hopefully run off one, maybe 2 pumps and all gravity fed back into the fish tank. Its nothing compared to alot of the systems Ive seen on here and doesnt look like much at the moment (have only really spent 3-4 full days on it lol) but also have to keep it simple because Im renting.

lol is classed as a temp. fixture...it can be unbolted n moved..but over my dead body lol.
When I signed the lease I had drawn up rough plans of what I wanted and passed them on to the owners, they were more than happy for me to build it coz I wasnt causing any destruction to the property.

The funny thing is...and its one of those " I suppose you had to be there" moments but when I had my first inspection 2 weeks ago I had one of those pissy lil 60cm W x 60cm D x 100cm H pvc covered "hothouses" from B...which I keep my duckweed in.....out in the courtyard where steve wants to make me a pond ;)...and the agent said "is THAT the hothouse you were going to make?" and I said noooooooooooooooo.....look out the kitchen window you cant miss it haaaaaaaaaahahahahaha.................... the agent said " oh s$#t its big" but I smiled when the owner (who was present at the inspection) said "COOL hothouse" lmfao
