Have been reading threads for months and have been planning and building my first IBC system. I thought I'd put mine on here. The factors that effected my design were sun light, size of location, future expandability, run cost and child safe.
Firstly cleared the site. The dirt garden (raised) beds needed replacing anyway.

I got 3 IBC's . one as a FT. One cut in 2 (350L) GB's. One cut into one 650L ST and a 350L GB.

I thought I'd spend a little $$$ on insulation to allow long term efficiencies. I used Silver reflector liner and wrapped FT and ST in spun glass wall insulation wrapped in builders plastic to reduce risk of mould.

Welcome, are you using treated pine sleepers over your sump tank. Not recommended due to rain run of washing toxcins into your tanks. Cheers

I was wondering about that. I thought it might be ok coz they aren't really exposed to the incoming rain. Thought I might chance it. I thought I saw others using it so thought it must be ok.
