I've set a simple ibc system about two months ago, all the plumbing works perfect, I'm using pea gravel, plants are growing like weeds, but with only west facing windows, I'm not getting many vegetables. I have grow lights on the way which I'm pretty sure will take care of that. My levels are staying fairly consistent, around 7.8-8 for ph

So, I do have about a dozen goldfish from 1 to 8 inches. I moved them to another tank and I want to cycle my system tank. The only ammonia I found in town is janitorial strength formula with 10% ammonium hydroxide from ace hardware. contains no phosphates. no rinse performance. DANGER-POISON PELEGRO-VENEDO :). My question is will this work for cycling or should I be looking for a different kind of ammonia?

and my next and last question for the moment, how many ml and what frequency do I add ammonia to a 150 gallon system to safely bring it up to 2ppm for cycling?

Thanks,
Dave
