Well the first post of the larger system in a new house.

I have currently setup a 3000ltr fish tank, one growbed and temporary sump.

I have moved the clay from one of the existing grow beds to help cycling.
Now I will start to move the 2 grow beds from the old system.
The fish willl be moved slowly into the new system to ensure cycling and bacteria build up
happens. I do not want any deaths during the move so slowly slowly will be the aim.

All pipework is temporary at the moment.
I will wait until I install the other 2 grow beds and then pipe it all correctly.
Sump tank currently in temporary position as well.

Thanks for the Advice, I was hoping to move half of the fish on the weekend.
But as per usual things are not going as quickly as I would have hoped. I am trying to fishless cycle the new tank. Even with half of the rocks out of the old system it still takes awhile. Hopefully the amonia level will be OK and I will have stabilised the PH. Water was very Alkaline when first filled. Pump is running constant at the moment to move things along as quick as possible.

Thanks guys.
Hope everyone had a good Easter weekend.
Mine was productive and exhausting. Managed to install most of a kitchen and move the Koi and Goldfish from the old system to new. I also moved one of the IBC's.
I have managed to keep all of the media in a system so all bacteria has been saved. I am hoping to move the rest of the media and the Silvers in the next few days.
I will try and get some more photo's when I have moved the growbeds.

Aquaponics gurus out there can anyone tell me if there is anything wrong with moving fish at night. I have to move my Silver Perch and the only real time I have is at night.
Does anyone know of any issues.
Thanks in advance......

The only thing that I can think of is that if the fish can't see and get freaked they bash in to the sides of the tank :dontknow:

Thanks Faye, I think I can setup a spot light maybe that might be enough to settle them in. I will try and get it done during daylight, if not I will do it at night and let you all know how I go.

I moved all the perch tonight.
Hope they are OK in the morning.
I managed to keep them in light for a couple of hours so hope that is enough for them to
know where they are. I have moved them from an IBC into another IBC so it shouldn't be too stressful for them.
I will give an update tomorrow night.

Taken 4 weeks to get internet access again at home.
Now I have access I can give an update on my new system.
I have now managed to get 3 growbeds online, apart from needing 5 more bags of clay
to finish filling the third one. I also have all silvers, koi and goldfish all moved.
I am still finishing the pipework, it's all a bit of a mess. I have some test results just can't find the paper I wrote them on. Will try and find it and post results.
Also will be putting up some photo's tomorrow.

I have been trying for days to put some photo's up here.
Can't find a free photo resizer that works.
Just downloaded photomagic, hopefully will get some photo's up tonight.
