Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and aquaponics. This is my little system that I threw together just to grow a few treats for us and our turtle. It's on a timer 45/15 for now until the media cycles. I'm a noob so any advice or help appreciated :)

The small tank on the right is not part of the system, though I thinking about turning it into a sump. The plants in the glass pots are just decorative plants that I have a trickle flow going full time.

Hi Chef - that's a neat little system you have there. I have heard that there can be issues with turtles in AP due to Salmonella risk, so I would do a little more research before eating anything from it. Turtles are awesome though, do you have any more pics?

My turtle isn't actually in this tank. He chomps down anything I throw in his tank so I started this separate just to grow some of the aquatic stem plants that he likes. He also likes lettuces and almost any other greens, so converting this into an aquaponics tank seemed like a good idea.

I've made a few changes. Added a sump and cleaned up and decorated the tank a bit.
