hey i am interested in having a indoor aquaponics system. i would want like around 8 plants. just being vegetables like peppers and tomatoes, and basil, n other herbs and shit. i have around like a 30 gallon fish tank with about 20 gold fish from my pond.

so could i use that for water? or is new tank better. i was thinking of doing a bubble ponics system but i have heard some concerns about not having bacteria growth with constant water. i just wanna know what the water to fish ratio should be like, and how the best systems work.

Hi bikefast,

A 30 gal FT will be fine for that many goldfish. Remember to situate your system near a window so the plants recieve sunlight or otherwise you will need grow lights if thats your preference.

You could buy a small tub for a GB and sit it on top of your aquarium or something like that. Search the forum for aquarium systems as there are a few around that work really well.
