Hi guys,

Have had my system up and running for a while now. Not sure why but have only just gotten myself organised to go and take a few photo's of it. My design is pretty simple as that is all my little mind could manage. It's chift pist with two fish tanks made out of 1000 l shuttles which overflow into a sump made out of a shuttle cut down to hold about 600 l. The pump then pumps up to three grow beds, two are about 250 l each and the third is about 400l. At the moment I only have 23 small silver perch in one of the tanks but am supplementing the plants with small amounts of pure ammonia to keep the nitrates up. I will try to post a few photo's.

You'd be better off supplementing the plants with Seasol... rather than playing/risking adding pure ammonia...

It has been working with the ammonia quite well, I test it regularly and only ever put in small amounts. If i could get some of those bigger barramundi from golden ponds i wouldnt have to worry about it.

You do have enough grow bed filtration capcity ... to add more fish.... I would be... and skipping the ammonia...

After all... the fish provide it... free....

Yeah I know, my only problem is that we aren't going to perth for another few weeks. For some reason golden ponds won't send them down by aae.

How big? I already have some small ones, I was just thinking some bigger fish would be nice, but I'm not too stressed anyhow.
