My attempt. it works see how well soon i guess.

I had a huge system with blue barrels then i moved house, had to take it down, realised i was sick of blue barrels (i hate blue barrels, annoying to work with!!! haha(but mostly because I suck at building haha)) IBC's are a dream to work with in comparison. My advice is if u have a choice between barrels and IBCs, ibc's every time for sure IME.

Yeah it aint pretty but flows, not sure what i'll need to tweak in the future but we shall see...

Specs

55w laguna pond pump
1 halved IBC, 2 growbeds
1 IBC fish tank with SLO (that sucks and isn't working as an SLO haha) 40mm > 25mm = fail, drilled hole too high, again = fail.
300 L or so of sumpage
24/7 running no offs/ons

got some silver perch in a fish tank at the house ready to move when the system cycles

salted the water

going to add an airpump with a filter thing as well in the fish tank for solids removal and extra aeration.

haha cheers. Yeah I think i was just defeated by it at the time; spent a lot of hours making mistakes to the point that I didn't see i did anything right. When are people in Melbourne going to start stocking trout? End of Feb? End of March?
