I'm just in the planning and materials gathering stage currently, but this is what I've got so far:

A couple of IBCs, a basic plan, and some choices for location.

Since I have two IBCs I think I'm going to use one for a fish tank and one for a sump. I'll raise the fish tank half its height and bury the sump half its height.

For me it would have to be close and handy to power and water and non flood area. Close to house so its only a short walk to inspect or you are to far from the beer fridge.

Welcome to the fun and keep the photos coming

Thanks!

I think right now the second picture in the album is my best bet. It's only a little low, and if I had to put in some fill, it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Thanks!

I think I found a source for barrels for $10 USD each and I might even be able to get all the hydroton I need for ~$400 USD (assuming I can get some financial assistance to get it or the seller will hold it for me), so it looks like this stage could move faster than I originally anticipated.

Siting is still an issue.

Make a decision and proceed only way to go ahead.

All right! On Thursday, I'm finally getting my hydroton! Also, I might pick up a pump.

More specifics:

CHIFT PIST, ~1000 gal/hr for the pump, 15/45 cycle. I'm going to get six 50 gallon barrels to halve and use for growbeds. I'm getting 23 50L bags hydroton. I'm not sure if I want to do loop or bell siphons in the barrels, but I'm thinking loop to save space since there will have to be so many. As I said before, I've got two 275 gallon totes. I'm just going to cut the top off of them. I might half bury the sump.
