Hello from Georgia, I've been meaning to post this for months now. Finally have the time to get it on here now. I've been playing with aquaponics for a couple years now, just small fish tank herb gardens. Here is my first "real" attempt at a system that is expandable and can actually produce some bigger plants, and some fish to eat throughout the year. :D My system consists of 300gal FT, 100gal Sump, 4-50gal GB's, pump is always on with siphons. I'll get the pics on asap, they're on my phone and I didn't want to type all this on a tiny screen.

I like it! I probably would have gone with 1 or two larger GBs instead of 4 of the smaller ones, but the set up looks very slick and looks like it gives you a way to easily double your grow bed area and get a bigger tank without too much hassle.

Where did you pick up the containers?

I have not looked around in while for totes when I thought about doing an outside system. What is the price range on those black Rubbermaid I guess "water troughs". Looks very sturdy with those and your 4x4 frames.

Love those rubbermaid tubs. Just made for aquaponics and I wish we could get something like them here

I thought about going with bigger GB's, but I couldn't find anything I really wanted to use, I guess the 100 gal tanks would have worked but there is just as much area to plant on the 50's(and from what I've gathered on here 12" is enough to work with). I bought all of them from tractor supply, for $60 for the 50gal, $70 for the 100, and way too much $ for the 300. I'm here in Walton County,(hopefully not for long, Blue Ridge Mountains are calling my name)

I actually need to do a few more pics, my siphons have been redone to cycle better. That first version I made, one GB worked great, the other three would just reach equilibrium and piss me off. I have them working great now, I'll post that whole process when I get a chance.
