Hi all,
Well at last I have some photo's of my IBC system.
I started last March with the basic system and have slowly added GB's as more nutrient was building up.
I started with 10 comets and 10 small silver perch to take the first steps into AP's.
When winter came along I added 12 rainbow Trout.
A second IBC GB was added to allow extra filtration and then a Backyard AP's GB was added to finish the system. As space is restricted I'm happy with the result of the growbed area.
All has gone well, only a few fish past on. One over ate and the tummy popped and had a siver jump into a floating GB and didn't get out again.
The comets and silvers are still quite small but the Rainbow trout are growing very well and the first dinner is very close.
This has been a great backyard hobby, at first the wife was scepticle. Not another silly craze that will fall by the way side. I work away so my wife feeds the fish when I am away. Now she and my daughter are really getting into AP's. They are always wanting to watch the trout feeding seeing they go hard at the floating food. Then again I hardly have to mention that to the converted.
Cheers,
Bryan.

Thanks Nat.
Yes rsevs3' the supports are approx 15ml square lengths. Last summer I had 75% shade cloth on the east side and on top to give some relief during the hottest part of the day.

The pump in the system is a 4,500 ltr per hour pond pump to service all the three grow beds.

Incase you are wondering about the green wire coiled up alongside the plants as protection, there is a good reason for that being at the front on the grow bed.

Hi Faye,
At the moment the veg's are leaning over a little, but no big problem.
The system is in a fairly sheltered area but when the winds come from the north they cop it a little.
So far so good.
Flying back to work early tomorrow morning so hopefully all will be good.
See you when I get back.

Glad to hear they are protected, it looks like there is more to come. I meant to say what I was thinking, "the veges are looking great Bryan".
