Hello from esperance WA . I have a 9000 litre tank 4 2.400 by .900 growbeds 10 silver perch and a few goldfish and yabbies. Maybe im in the wrong forum (section) but id like to ask some questions! Bought a tester today results were ch 120 kh 120 to 180 ph 7.5 no2 1 no3 40' nh3 and nh4 0 Water is pretty foul! (green) . I think my pump is supplying plenty of aeration but I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .Should i open my own site? WITH PHOTOS!

Re floating poly beds.Where can I find more info please? Damn its slow typing with one finger! I do have all the rest but the brain will only let me use one at a time!

Floating poly beds are dead simple... It can be as simple as getting some foam of any size or shape, broccoli boxes, or from craft shops, then cutting some holes in it with a kitchen knife and jabbing through some bits of ruuted cuttings or small plants, or just cuttings for that matter...

You could also use hydroponic net pots to protext the roots from the fish a bit..

Yep... Because the water is high in disolved oxygen this will be ok for most plants, some plants will do better than others though.. If you have an air pump you can stick an airstone under the foam, this will help plant growth.

The polystyrene floating on the tank should help with my algae problem too shouldnt it?

the foam provides shade for the fish and the water, but the algae problem should clear itself up soon (unless the tank is in full sunlight, then it will take a bit longer to get past the pea soup)
