Hi Badger,

Just wondering if you have worked out what media you are going to put in your fruit tree barrels, and how you were going to plumb them in?? I am thinking of doing the same, but haven't worked out the details yet.

Cheers
Sam

Hey samward. Doing flood drain so going to fill straight off the sump pump with stand pipes rather than from the fish tanks due to blocking issues. Drain straight back to the sump. Fish tanks will go via the grow beds and the marron tanks to the sump. Should start designing them in a couple of weeks so will put up some photos.

I think I vaguely remember that Badger :wave1: Next time I will remember for sure, as long as you tell me who you are.

A few photos to update the build. I have added a third IBC FT instead of the two blue barrels net to the othe tanks. Sitting down working out the plumbing with Dad who is going halves with the system ( he loves eating fish and building things). Thats him helping to dig the sump hole. So overall system will have three FT, two BYAP growbeds, seven fruit trees and three blue barrel yabby tanks in about a 17 sqm area.

Getting help with digging... Now that's just cheating  that is one big system. Can't wait to see it shape up.

Well three FTs are in as well as the sump and the first grow bed. Pump and air pump have arrived so hopefully the first part will be up and running this weekend. Not looking forward to washing two trailerloads of gravel. Pics to follow

Nice Sketchup work Badger... :thumbright:

I recognise who you are now, interesting to see what people put together. So often people come in over a few weeks picking up bits and pieces and you wonder what they are going to make with it.. Look forward to seeing it finished...

Oh and be sure to support the bottom of those legs well, not much fun when stand start to subside under a ton of gravel..

Almost ther. A couple more days work. Bit more plumbing and the pumps to install when its replaced and of course the drede gravel washing. Will probably get the system running before finishing off the fruit trees as my trout are outgrowing my other system.
Enjoy
