hi,
i have a new system that so far is running well with few issues.
my only current concern is the high ph in my system-around 8.2.
the water i use is from an underground well (a bore). whilst it is very clean it has a ph of around 8.4.
to reduce the ph i want to premix some water in an 1100 litre s/steel tank prior to adding to system.
can i use hydrochloric acid for this purpouse?
i am concerned that in the process of neutralising the water some chlorine could be released that would be deadly to my fish.
the system comprises 10 2m x .6m growbeds, 600l sump and a2500l s/steel ex dairy tank for the fish, water cycles every 25 minutes via 7500lph sump pump.
any advice would be welcome.
thanks

Hydrochloric acid will be fine (preferred).... and just aerate it, and most of the chlorine will gas off...
