tonight brings the total to 14
I believe 3 were milky enough to have been there a couple of days and be the source of the problem. 5 looked newly dead, and 3 were just alive but died later in hospital. :-(
I hope this stops.
I have done a 100% water change, got the water down to less than 300mm depth, check all fish in the tank were alive, then filled with water that's not upsetting the browns or silvers.
F***! I'm so peeved I didn't notice the dead earlier. The smell is ever so subtle.
I guess I should have changed the water yesterday :-(
and no, I haven't done tests yet.

.

Did you have a look at their gills Kuda??

With your water change.... if the cause was ammo or nitrite poisoning... then you should be covered... similarly if it was a problem with suspended solids...

If it was a DO problem...then your new air... that'll be taken care of... although it's possible you could lose a few more if they've been oxygen starved...or weakened...

Hopefully, by salting to lower stress, and/or combat any pathogens... the rest should be OK...

Fingers crossed for ya mate...

I have the hose in there, they're not gasping at the surface, just cruising calmly
I put a whole 25kgs bag of salt in.
I have the biggest stones I have in each tank.
I fear the stirring up of shit. by the air.
The brown tank is quite well brown
Lost 1 more rainbow last check

yeah I'm home... not much planned now. I had planned an investigation into how big the fish were and how they were doing.
I guess I know now. :-(
