awh, our onions never seem to bulb up like that. I'm jealous (I know ya have to have the right kind of onions for the latitude but it seems the sets they sell down here are never the right ones or they are not selling them during the right time of year for our silly upside down climate in FL.)

Hey JT
How close can you place the onions inside the grew beds? Say; in a 4 X 8 grew beds, how much onions can be grown?

How well do AP onions store? Do their skins cure properly?

TC....

when the onions start to bulb up, I move the gravel away from the bulb so then can expand easily.... ones that are down in the gravel, dont bulb up much.... so move the rock away and they should do well

I plant them onion sets.. ( I grow them all from organic seed) at about an 8" spacing....

so you could easily plant 8 wide by 16 long so... you should be able to plant 128 onions...
