Hi MF,
I increased inflow by 1) using the largest diameter pipe possible for the pump, 2) keeping the length of pipe as short as possible, 3) raising the pump up on a brick, 4) eliminating bends (especially sharp bends). I don't know how much I gained, but it was noticeable.

Hi Janet, that looks much better, I didn't like the way it was extruding from the end pipe before –too easy to have air trapped above the exit.

1) Inflow doesn’t need to be greater than outflow if you have the siphon end submerged, this traps air in the pipe and stops the siphon from working until pressure builds up from the extra height/volume of water above the siphon height – if you have inflw>outflow then eventually the GB will fill and overflow (unless you have a timer to cutoff the pumps).

Not sure what your in/out flow is
