Apparently the nutrient doesn`t get atomized/Fogged and get to the plant(see top pg 6 ) BUT the pumkin seed has taken off and is going strong and the root system is nearly to the water level,When the roots reach the water level it will no longer be areo but aqua,so I might try other plants/seeds
What i have learned is it s a good way to germinate certian seeds so at least I`m learning somthing

Cleaned out the aquarium yesterday, ran the filters for a couple of hours and gave the yabby a new home.
I`m hoping to go out and get her a special friend soon and see if she will berry up.
I`m in the process of designing a new system(as everyone is) and hoping to get some yabbys to play their part.

The blue takes 1-2 moults(well mine did) and to sex them, look at the last set of legs(upside down)were they join to the main body,if its a male it will have small spikes/bumps there, if not its a female.
I will take her out of the tank later and get a photo to show you.

Was having a look round today at my system in general and although we are starting to get back into hot days was wondering why so much water was disappearing.
Decided the best thing to do was open a beer and sit at the computer to watch out the window at the tub.
This was a very good learning curve.
1)when you have two dogs and the weather is 39deg,they drink alot of AP water.
2)when the missus starts BUCKETING water out of the system and watering the ferns saying" haven`t these grown quickly " you get upset rather fast.
Anyhow everything seems to be going ok.
I have been spraying the mix around the pipes I have mentioned it the natural pesticide thread and all was good until today.
Found these little fellas on all the bok choy.

I think that they are from the white cabbage moth (get a few around here).
the only way around this i think is to cover the plants with netting or a cheap sort of green house.

Bacillus Thuringiensis - aka Dipel. It is a bio-insecticide.
