Ok, I guess the item in the picture, the square one will be the fish tank ? Are there 4 square holes in the bottom? If so, what will you do about them? Water looks very clean. Plants look good and a question on the wheat. How and when do you eat it. Is it the sprouts or the final plant you are after? I would think wheat would get 3 to 5 feet tall. Our local Soy grows like a weed to that height also so I don't know how to control it yet. Little mini soys would be neat.

yes. I will seal the holes.
the wheat really is just because.
don't plan on harvesting any, but who know.
I also now have spinach sprouts, and a mantis guarding the whole thing

I think they're adapting to desert conditions quite well, he's completely tan like khakis. Can't find him now though.

I still haven't replaced the pump. I also tossed in some spinach seeds when my yellow leaves suddenly turned green.

I want phase 2 to produce edible fish this time. maybe tilapia but I may consider something easier to rear instead.
3-4 fish per dwc unit.
airstones in pipes.
bottom will be sump/gravel biofilter
